Going Places

This is its folks. This is where I take a bow. This is where the curtains go down. This is where Phunk Factor officially retires. This is the final post. After this I won't be posting on Phunked For Life or any of it's associates anymore. I'm sorry about it, but that is how it's going to be.

However before you start reliving the golden days of regular postings I will also let you know that I did promise on starting a new blog, and I'm going to stand up to that promise. But I shall be doing things abit differently this time round. Due to certain reasons that I may choose to disclose or I may choose to not disclose at all, I won't be publicly putting down the link of my new blog in this post or anywhere else.

If you wish to continue reading please shoot me an e-mail on phunkfactor@gmail.com and I will reply to you with the address of my new blog.

I won't be contacting you for any other matter other than that one reply with the blog address. Nor will I pass on your e-mail address to any other person or source. It's going to stay under a password protected account that nobody but me can access to. So if you wish to continue reading just send me a message.

I understand some of you might be hesitant to send me an e-mail, for those I have a different proposition. Simply drop your e-mail address in a comment below, I would not approve that comment quite obviously and simply reply to you with the blog URL.

I'm still working on my first post and since it will be a proper post after a very long time I will be taking some time with it, but it shall be going up in a week from today. I'm going to try to fix up a schedule where you guys get atleast one post from me each week. I also need to come up with a new pseudonym and a blog address; this is frankly the hardest thing to do since I've got so many choices.

This is officially the end of the person you hopefully liked and knew as 'Phunk Factor' and I am already looking forward to having you all on my new blog. As a warning I have changed. My views have changed. My writings will reflect that. You may agree and love the new me even more, or you may want to come after me with a sledge hammer. Before you make your decision, give me a serious chance. I would like to think that I haven't disappointed you before, so there's a pretty good chance I won't be disappointing you again.

Adios. Good Night. Farewell. Allah Hafiz.

Love you all!

Can Of Worms

Let me start off by telling you about the reason of my long absence. I apologize ahead for the length of this post but there was no way I could open this can of worms and walk away with a small post. I also apologize ahead for the fact that I won't be able to complete this in a single post but there isn't just one can of worm that needed to be opened.

I Am Unicorn

Brittany - Out of all the kids in the school I think you are the biggest Unicorn

Kurt - I'm sorry!

Brittany - Well when a pony does a good deed he gets a horn and becomes a unicorn. Then he poops out cotton candy until he forgets he's magical and then his horn falls off and black unicorns, they become zebras.

Kurt - Oh...oh that's terrifying story

Brittany - No it's not. Okay no. My point is, is that...a unicorn is somebody who knows their magical and isn't afraid to show it. You went through hell last year and you never forgot how special you are.

I Still Get The Jitters

Back in the summer of '09 I attended a wedding in America. My cousins had assembled this list of things to do for me and one of the points on the list was to attend a Desi American wedding. I was really excited for that and fortunately a wedding was coming up in the month of June, just a few days after my arrival and before I started my electives.

Rishta Khala

With arranged marriages still running their reign with an iron-fist in the Indo-Pak community all around the world, we have certain technicalities and quirks that go hand in hand with them. One such thing is the Rishta Khala - something most find necessary but others like me find annoying. This particular creatures exist solely with in our community. I can tell you right now that you will not find another like her anywhere else, and somehow if you do - it will be nothing like ours. What we have is truly one of a kind; fortunately for you.

Jaago Pakistan

A few days back I was hanging out with a cousin who was visiting Pakistan with her two sons and husband. The elder son who's nine years old right now likes Pakistan. In fact he likes it so here that he wanted them to move here from States. His father is a very reasonable man, and innocence is something that he considers a weakness. "There is too much terrorism and corruption here to be happy!", he explained to the little boy.

On Sexuality

During my 9th Grade, we used to have these Self-Improvement classes. It was a class meant to raise our awareness of our forth-coming responsibility as adults. There was a wide variety of subjects covered in those classes. All were focused on honing our minds, perfecting our bodies and polishing our spirits.

One particular class that I remember even today is the one in which we were explained about our increasing attraction to the opposite sex. Our teacher said this one sentence that will never slip off my memory. "Sexuality plays a very important part in the structuring of our personality!"
